My ISP blocks port 25 and I use port 1025. Works fine for me.

I did the Google, didn't find any workarounds, but I found a corecom
tech support page which said
The bad news is that my ISP blocks outgoing email that doesn't
originate on their network, so I have to log off the EVDO and
log on to dial-up to send email.
