Yeah there was a fuel leak out of a round cover on the wing. Bad gasket or loose screws I guess. Not a huge leak, but a noticeable trickle. Based on the stains on the wing it looked like it had been ongoing for some time. Now that I think about it, it was an American MD-80, not Delta.

I think Singapore grounded theirs too, pending an investigation. Apparently, the engine let go with a pretty good bang! There are a few pics around of some of the damage done to the wing, snapped while in flight. All ended well though, with the plane and everyone aboard back on the ground
