That's what I did with the E320 wagon.
It helped that I bought it in Boston, and had a relative in Cleveland I
could visit for a night.

Any shipping site is going to screw you. The drivers that take your job are
going to screw you.
I’ll PM you the contact information for my transportation broker. He’s done
numerous cars for me and many for people I know, even some other list members.
Very, very good. Understand that if you’re
Fly out drive home. Cheaper and more fun. You’re retired so you have plenty of
time. Hit Cracker Barrel for 5 o’clock specials then turn in for the night. You
should be home in 3 or 4 days as you will need naps in there too

go to freighquote.com, have used them many times to ship pallets.

The one time I had a heavy item shipped I used Yellow Freight/Roadway..
They happened to have a depot in my town where the item was delivered,
then when I showed up in my pickup they forklifted it into the bed for
me. This avoided charges for residential delivery and a lift gate truck.

You might try one of the local UPS Store locations - they advertise We
Can Ship Anything so it might be worth talking to them. But that kind of
weight is best handled by a LTL truck as Rich suggested - although UPS may
well use that to ship stuff like you need to send. If it will be delivered
You would probably need to use a LTL( less than truckload) freight
hauler -- I would presume you could find one where it is being shipped
from. Then you have to pay some fees to have it picked up with a
forklift or whatever, maybe palleted or something, and then a drop off
fee to have it
Ya, 'may be a good sale on a used wood chipper in Fargo, youbetcha.

I'm thinking that if you can take the legs off it and strap the bed to a pallet
it wouldn't be too bad. But I wouldn't know where to go for a palletized freight
quote.
Mitch.
