Brake and parking lamps have NO connection to the flasher, except through perhaps the fuses, and ground. If they're acting up too, it's not the flasher. (Though that could have its own issues...) Examine/clean the fuses, using a dab of De-ox-it on each one, and look at the relevant ground

I once soaked switches of various kinds in a polyethylene storage box full of WD-40. The problem was that some plastics were destroyed by WD-40 which was the only solvent of its kind except Blaster back then. Soaked over night and then exercised a few hundred times, and the switches were good
