A bad fuel pump relay causes the same problems as on a Benz --
intermittent stalling while driving (mostly, sometimes croaks at idle

I removed the broken parking brake cable from the car. That was
difficult because parts were rusted in place. Once I figured out how
it was supposed to come out, getting the good one out of the parts car
was pretty easy. You unhook the inboard end first, then you can
pull/push the cable

faulty (though eminently repairable), but it's just as likely
(if not more so) that the wiring to the cluster is at fault.

I agree. Except that the computer in these vintages is fluidic,
not electronic, and ATF courses through its veins not electrons.
Your tranny is sick, in other words. You could try a fluid
and filter change as that's fairly cheap in comparison

looks more like a fat version of the regular horn than the usual
