What kind of money did they want to balance a shaft? I have had

U-joint, with balancing, was somewhere in the $200-300 range.

I am in need of a good fuel pump relay pn: 001 545 53 05
...for 85 380SL... the fuel pump draws between 5 and 9 amps
depending on engine on/off and the length of time it has been
running. 5 A. with engine off.
That's about what mine draws. What's wrong with your relay?

Now we're talking. I used to keep a 2 chunk of 14ga house wire in the fuse
box on all Saab 99s. A simple free spare part to have handy in case the
rpm sensing fuel pump relay went bad. Two banana plugs takes the cost
out of the free category,
