If you have never had one, you cant begin to know how wonderful they
ride and drive. Yes, they do have alot of gadgets but I have never
really had too much trouble with the ones I have had.

On my 140 diesel, it has the belt tensioner rattle, worse when cold. I
put a brand new one on. It still does it. I tried a different spring,
still does it. Would the shock cause this?

That's what I thought, too. Especially hard to believe, though, that the
French would accept such a bastardized sizing system - the imperial part
of it, that is.

That was my first instinct but the shock could be a problem too. Accessories
like water pumps can cause intermittent vibrations one might think was
suspension or tire related!
