Those converters are not really repairable -- to hard to get apart. You

I never did get my piezo sensor timing light to work on my 300SD,
there just isn't enough expansion in the line under pressure to

My '78 240D (W123) has electric window lifts. There's a problem with the RR
mechanism/wiring. I've tried known good seperate switches without any luck.

If you isolate the two pins going directly to the window motor (either
at the switch, or by removing the door panel) you can safely apply 12v
to operate the motor. If you supply the wrong polarity, the window
will just go the wrong way, and you can reverse it.

You probably have one or more broken wires in the rubber sleeve between the
door and door jam; I did in my 79 300TD. If you study the wiring diagram
you can connect temporary wires from a battery (or one of those car starter
things) to the motor. The easy but tricky way to do this is to pull out

That'd make it hard. I could burn you a CD of an OS,
but without basic resources that could be
dirty. I bought the newer wheels for
my 126 and I thought it looked better and was MUCH easier to keep them
clean.

To get the window closed for now, can you grasp it and shove it to the UP
position and wedge it in place? I've done that at least three times; my
problems were with the little plastic slides, though.

Why? I think most of those look a lot better than the stock wheels, and
have sizes that (I think) more appropriately match the wheel well, and
most importantly, allow decent performance tires for the car.
