Mine also came with oil.
Used it ten or twelve times so far with no problem. It
also does an oil change much faster than a shopvac.
The motor on a shopvac seems to get quite hot when doing
oil changes. (Too hot?)
Autozone tools have been OK so far. (Sears is a long drive.)

new skin wasn't that expensive, maybe $150 if that much from the dealer.
I suspect the W123 equivalent would be cheaper. And the dealer had it the next

I bought a 15 dollar vacuum pump that connects to an air compressor from
Harbor Freight. No moving parts, just a venturi. Works great hooked to an
old air tank with a piece of nylon tubing for the oil sucker. Can't
overheat anything but your air compressor if you leave it on for hours.

On a W123 sedan trunk, the default position is horizontal. Turn
it clockwise 90 deg to vertical to be always locked.

IIRC you need only peel back the passenger side carpet and start applying
suction to the lines that head to the rear of the car. That way if something up
