I strongly suggest you use tape and plastic sheeting to protect any areas
you don't want to ruin the paint on... Once sprayed the adhesive will melt
into the paint by design to achieve adhesion. It's worth the extra effort
also to drape the engine and wheelwells, fenders, etc.

Take the armrests out of your 123 junker before it goes. I bet you
can take off the 201 armrests and replace them with the 123 armrests
if you drill pilot holes for the big screws. Worst case, put a wood
or metal strip in where the screw hits if it currently a hole. Just

That's what I used on both my 124s - worked great. I only covered the engine
and fenders with a sheet of plastic, then sprayed away. Yes, the pads for
the 2.5 turbos had the foil patch. the pad for the '87 300D did not. Go
