Personally I'd check all the glow plugs first, as those fail far more often

My '84 300CD's glow plug light on the dash has stopped coming on when I turn on

I like Greenville, the hills and proximity to mountains is a very nice
change from flat land "low country". They're also the main political
rival to Chucktown, and (in my opinion) have some kind of inferiority
complex about it so they tend to go above and beyond to show they're better
than us.

enough that you would only need turn the key and it would light off. No more
than a second for the starter to spin it up. If there is cranking going on,
either the battery is low, the starter is junk, or the glow
