 Too bad its any auto, thats an NA 2.5l. Turbo in the 190D was '87 only.
As usual the seller is dreaming about 40mpg, my '85 2.2l 190D 5spd could just 
barely beat 40mpg if I drove slow, averaged around 38. With an auto the 2.2l 
dropped to 36 average, 38 best tank.
Oh, BTW I had to go into work the other day, the 2015 Jetta TDI did 62.8mpg on 
the way in  at not more than 60mph. The ride home was disappointing, it had 
gotten over 80F out, so I had the AC on. Only made 55mpg...

[MBZ] OT getting old

[Kaleb Striplin via Mercedes]

As I’m out working on cars today I’m removing the radiator from the e300. These 
days when I’m bent over working on something like pulling this radiator out, I 
get lower back pain/soreness. I usually have to stop and sit down for a few 
minutes. I wonder if I got one of those back brace things that people use for 
heavy lifting would help.

Don’t know about that, but when I anticipate a major physical undertaking like 
this I usually pre-medicate with some naproxen sodium (generic Aleve) and I’m 
fine for the day. Definitely cuts down on that next day soreness.

Whenever I decide to do the AC compressor on the 420E I’ll do this, as it will 
be a long day under the car with a lot of ups and downs.

I had chronic lower back pain starting at 40 when I threw my back at work.
I then started taking Pilates once/week and doing 30 small crunches
(situps) every day.  Since then my lower back has been pain free except for
getting out of bed in the AM.  When I over exert (lifting incorrectly) and
it does flare up, it's never for long and an ibuprofen takes care of the
pain.

Got the radiator swapped out on the car. Took about 3 hours instead of my usual 
30 minutes. I had planned on doing a IP swap on a 603 also but I think I’m 
about done for the day.

My 2004 Golf reliably gets 45 to 48 mpg.  Rather low for that model, my brother 
routinely got 52 on the highway in his 05 Jetta.

I suspect the low profile tires (which I don't care for, but came with the car) 
and the bad struts up front aren't helping any.  Or the dragging rear brakes I 
really need to replace tonight, new calipers, rotors, and pads.

Still can't complain too much, at least until I retire in a couple years.  
Still have that 70 mile a day commute till then.

pain.  after a few months it was,a miracle. I have exercises to do if it
starts to flare up.

Racism is alive and well, sadly.  And we have an Administration that give a 
wink and a nudge to extremists, who have decided that it's perfectly fine to go 
nuts.

One thing we have going for us these days is that most people have cell phones 
that can record decent quality video of significant duration.  That is how we 
now KNOW that oustiders are showing up at protests, smashing windows, setting 
fires, and the slipping away to commit crimes (usually theft and arson, it 
appears) while leaving the protestors to take the blame.

Won't work like it did in the past because they are getting filmed doing it.

Times are tough for a lot of people, and there are always sociopaths who will 
cheerfully exploit widespread discontent to achieve their real ends, which are 
chaos and societal disruption.
