I've been using the small notebooks since my first car in 1966. However, I
only record fuel, oil, and filter changes in them.

I don't know, probably not that much, but polishing them is not hard
with the sanding kit and they look reasonably OK. I've polished the 210
E320 and E300 and the ML500. While they don' look new they provide a
lot more light. One side of the 211 E320 wagon needs it too, the other
side on
It's a good thing that's an auto car or a guy might get stupid ideas...

I use the written log book method.
Short of a car fire, it is always available and in the car.
I find the bound composition books [dollar store has them for a buck] works
nicely
When I start a new book for a "new" vehicle, I always start a title page
that lists things like VIN number, year,

Isn't this general good advice for all BMWs?
If you ever think MBs are over-engineered, BMWs are even worse.
Trivia fact: Lincoln used a BMW
I think they did not "badge" the GLK as a diesel for some reason. I know
couple that have one, no badge. Weird.

Too much. $1,800 maybe. Probably $1,200.
