To elaborate a little on redghost's answer, yes, Mac does have a
way to mechanically remove a CD from any drive. You need a
straightened paperclip. Poke it into the hole redghost mentions, and
it will rachet the tray out.
The cool thing is that with a Mac you never need it.

Howdy! Every once in a while I notice someone here asking someone to run a
CARFAX for 'em. I've never read any of those requests to know whether payment
is offered. In any event, if someone can do it gratis, might that someone run

I'll give you $100 for it.

Well, it was. Copy-protected CDs break the long-established audio CD
standard. No CD player is required, either legally or technically,
to play them or behave in any other useful way when faced with one.
They're a bastard misuse of the technology.

The vacuum gizmo is part of the vacuum circuit for the transmission. It's
used to modify the vacuum signal based on throttle position.
If it were 300 engine than I'd suspect that the pipe is the turbo oil
drain, but this is a 240 engine. Where does the other end of the pipe go?

I just bought an '85 300SD that is in NY. I am in IN. I am considering all my
options for retrieving this car. It has been sitting for two years, so it needs
tires, brakes, fluids changed ect., so driving it back probably isn't an
option. Has anyone dealt with shipping companies? Any good ones?
There are at least two Google directory pages (and other similar ones) for
auto shippers.
My advice would be to go with a reliable one, which pretty much eliminates
shopping on price alone. A-A Auto Transport...

I used Allen Smith Auto Transport one time, door to door, from North Chicago

were lower. He and his son go everywhere except the NE in the winter. He has

At one indie, in Oceanside, CA, has it for $2.94, while another one, 2 miles
down the road, wants $3.40.

Having read through the review and long list of recalls of this vehicle, plus
two trips to the auction, the question that come to mind is, WHY?
Makes a Mercedes, any Mercedes, look like a paragon of reliability. Reminds
me why I keep buying them.

Kaleb,
Is that really your SDL on Ebay? Are you trying to sell it off of ebay
also? Is there anything wrong with it (other than what is listed on
the ad). My 124 is getting a little too small for me. I would be
interested in this car. I assume you replaced the head, Is that
correct? Why
Got my 89 560SEL out today to mess with it, see why its leaking so much
oil from the passenger side, and why its leaking tranny fluid. Well I
replaced the valve cover gasket on the passenger side, pulled the tranny
pan and changed the fluid and filter and gasket. Filled it back up.
Anyways,
