air down the intake
WON'T tell you if the glow plugs are insufficient!
Even when the engine
is hot and it's, 90 degrees F outside, properly
working plugs should be
allowed to glow for 5-10 seconds for optimal
starting. Parallel plugs
Sometimes it might be due to the frame (regulator) being bent -- it'll
slide down enough then when the motor torques it to go up it bends and
won't move. Glad it was just the switch.

Sounds like the car was in a front-end collision and the airbag was
replaced. 10 years is the recommended SRS check time, and at some point MB
USA extended the check to 15 years in the 124. Marshall will correct me if
