Car is a 1979 240D automatic, 123 chassis. Want to see if any one has used
a topsider to suck out old tranny fluid. Do I still need to rotate engine
and remove drain plug?
This job will include changing out filter unit as well. Any stories or
hints you could share please?

the fill tube has a straight shot to the bottom of the pan. Cleaned out

nighttime pheasant attack. After theat, the right headlight is noticeably
brighter than the left.
Moral of the story: even glass headlights loose effectiveness over 18-20

I disagree - there were cars assembled by AMG, in addition the cars put
together at other places. AMG certainly put together some cars; they raced
them for sure! a W109 300SE 6.8 is the car that put them on the Map, so to
speak.
