digits of your chassis number. They are essentially the same. I
never figured out what the difference was. 114 may be a short-hood
version for 4 cyl engines like 110/111. 110 is a short hood, 4 cyl

I've never heard of an MB manual transmission dying from anything
other than lack of lube or putting 90W hypoid in. It obviously can
stand up to a 300D, cause that is how it was built. Turbo in stock
form does not make that much difference.

I don't think you need any special tools to do a tailshaft seal,
except whatever socket you need to release the nut. The tranny
stays in place.

Noticed the other day that the tranny started slipping. Added some fluid the
other day and it started slipping again today. Grr, so I looked for fluid
leaks and it seams to be coming from the very back of the tranny. The
driveshaft has some red moisture, along with the exhaust and exhaust bracke
