Yes, at least on the diesels. You line up the marks on
the cam gear and the nearby tower, and read degrees of
stretch off the timing scale. 'Too much' is bad. 'Too
much' varies model to model.

Depends to what quality level you want to go. I find, painting a part off a
car, (old paint going next to new) you will never get a perfect match and
you'll see it at 20 paces. I've had fenders painted on cars, and they
feather the paint in, and you can't tell. And I'm really really fussy.

He was hanging the dog in midair from the leash at the time.

I snipped some strips of metal from an old rusty rocker panel and used it to
weld some gaps and cracks inside and outside of my microwave oven.
