I agree. A good front tire on the BMW or Harley will last 12,000 - 16,000
miles while a good back tire will last 6,000 - 8,000 miles. I mount &
balance my own and can buy good tires for about $260.00 / set. A set of
$260.00 tires plus an additional $140.00 rear tire works out to almost $0.03
/ mile
My Harley-Davidson & BMW both get about 45 MPG on the highway.

I Ghia was hard to beat for economy and FUN.
My First car was a '56 Ghia; Body number 13?? I bought it with
money I had saved up cutting and delivering firewood. Still got the

Spent the last week in Florida with the family. Saturday, on the way
home, spotted a new Smart on I75 in Georgia. Man that is one TINY

New radiator, vacuum pump, alternator, starter & rebuilt transmission in the

Diesel is $4.00 at the Loves on I10 on my way to the Nuke plant and that was
my cheap go to place. I guess she'll have to start driving the 300D and I'll
drive the Acura. They get the same mileage and with unleaded only at 3.08
right now it'll save me some coin.
