Tried scraping, wire brushing, naval jelly, and methylene chloride
paint stripper. Nothing worked very well IMO.
I've always had very good luck with a power wire brush.
You can use that to blast off the paint and the big chunks,
then hit the tank with the battery charger in a wading pool.

Hi everyone, I have a 1985 300 CDT, it was in an accident I fixed the
damage, but there were a lot of vacuum lines disconnected and I don't know
where they all go. Does anyone have a schematic of these vacuum lines and where
they connect too? I am having a few problems and I think they may

I've started going through the troubleshooting as advised in the earlier posts.
Fuse is good, switches swapped over and work in opposite circuit.
Started removing dash to get to power window relay.
I have the lower panel down and bolster. Have the cluster pushed out a bit, but
cannot get it out
Got sidelined today dropping a 40' tree in the backyard
(pic attached, can you find the Benz?).
I did depress the power window switches (driver/rear pass) while the key was in
the first position. The dash lights dimmed which I will take as an indication
they are drawing power.

My 1990 350SDL now has 285K on it...(Purchased used in 1997 with 85K). Head
Gasket replaced at about 110K; uses 2-3 quarts between 3K oil changes with
Delvac 1300, but otherwise, a fine, fine automobile..
Was there any mention of the engine being rebuilt/replaced by MB? My

to pay 90, offer them 80 and yes pick it up. Can't be a high demand
item-they would be glad to unload it, I would think.

I've never been into a 124 but on a 123 you can take the headliner down and
push on the bar to force the sunroof closed and up. I've been doing that with
my 240D until I can get the

It opens about 2/3 of the way, and wont go back any futher. Maybe the
cable is not broke but it just wont move on its own, as in stuck or
something. Kind of sounded broken though. It does seem loose a little
in the frame so to speak, as in you can move it from side to side a

The driver door window motor receives power, but does not budge.
Be careful. Both terminals receive +12V at rest, the
switches selectively ground one of them. You can be
tricked, what you're looking for is a good ground
when the switch is operated.
