The winch description (I think it was Harbor Freight) mentioned that the winch
rating was based on dead weight being pulled not lifted. I don't think a 2000lb

I'm in the same situation. I still run OSX on the laptop because apple
laptops are so well integrated with the OS with regard to sleep,
wireless, charging, etc. iTunes and Apple mail are really nice also.

It's quite a shame. Software keeps getting worse as computers get
faster, such that you can't do much more with a new computer than with
an old one. There seems to be more customer demand for new features than
for improvements in overall quality, and making the old features
actually work proper

It's 82 here today in Riverside, CA about 60 miles east of him. We've
been having the Santa-Ana winds recently, which brings ridiculously warm

That is because the wind is sucking the heat out of you faster than if
the wind were not blowing (and faster than you can make heat). If you
stand in the sun on a still cold day, you might start feeling warmer
from the sunshine. Stand in the sun on a windy cold day, and you will

i've experienced it even in the desert, but why would anyone have flesh
exposed when it's cold enough that Wind Chill would *really* matter?
