Appears to be leaking around the rear window seal, the metal under the window/deck is a bit rusty and the trunk a bit dampish. The seal looked pretty good, not rotted or cracked, but I guess it should be replaced. How big a deal is that? If there is visible rust anywhere due to this leak,

It's worth a try with M1, but I found that the lifter noise in my 300D is not, indeed, lifter noise at all but injector knock. Sounds much the same, but goes away when the line to the #6 injector is cracked. This is the line that failed on my trip at Thanksgiving , and it may have taken

Yes, there is a small internal battery. If the battery is dead and it looses power, it will lock the radio. If the radio is removed while the alarm is active, same thing. It will not show code, will just show dashes across the screen. Have to take it to the dealer for them to pull the
