I was thinking I may need to pull the fuses and check 'em 'stead of just checking the leads for continuity, but the mfgr's instructions say "check fuse by touching probe ends together for continuity." 'Suspected there may be some BS involved. It's possible this is true for your meter, though

I've "tried" to connect ammeter (2 different ones) between batt post and cable many times; 'must have messed up something in both meters since the first reading of 101 mA several days ago; can't get a reading on 'em now; their fuses are not blown - continuity and voltage readings work well. F
