I drove the kids over to a buddy's airport for rides in his Breezy this
afternoon - on the way back, the A/C started blowing warm air. I figured
that enough R12 had leaked out that the compressor was dis-engaged. We kept
driving. half an hour later, the car shifts into 3rd gear on a slight
incline
At least it kept that guy off the streets, out of bars, and away from the
bikini babes on youtube for a good while!

Did the car have green anti-freeze when you got it? With one exception
(the'92 300D from Kaleb), I've ended up replacing the radiator to eliminate
over heating problems if the car had green anti-freeze when I purchased it.
No amount of citric acid flushing, "cleaning" by the radiator shop, etc.

Does anybody have the instructions and list of codes for reading codes
in a 140 etc? I have the special light tool but cant locate my codes at
the moment. I have a check engine light and a ASR light after installed
my rebuilt ETA.

That Color is called desert sand, same as my 05 CDI. Make sure the air
suspension has been upgraded...there was a TDB on that. When it fails,
it is a no go situation.
That model also had terrible electrical problems according to my

My 300E is a gold/champagne colour, and my porsche has a dark brown leather

barely turn over the car, yet the voltage was just

I've thought about the aux fan but I have my doubts that it would provide
enough air flow at speed to make a difference. Remember this is only a problem
