You mean the ones who stand on the race course, then jump back up on the wall as
the cars go where they were standing 1/2 second ago?

No worries, seems like a dorky design if there's no adjustment. Even my wife's

I'm wondering what the pedal/MC set-up is in a 201 car? I'm pretty sure that
the 5 speed in that car is the same (or at least the same case) as what was
used in the 124 cars with manual transmission. EPC knows all (but I've no time
to research today).

Well, those guys, and the ones who stand on the outside of a curve down
the embankment a little (very little) ways as the cars go sliding by,
tail out, hanging over the edge. I did not watch the whole thing, but I
did see that white Ferrari. Can't imagine that as a sort of off road
vehicle.
Client has one. Not sure of the year but must be similar vintage. He got
it brand new and I don't think he is hard on it. It has been nothing but
trouble and expensive to repair. I don't think I would want it.

I have been needing a trailer, see this one. At a pawn shop, girl there
says it has a box for brakes, does not know if they work. She thinks
it has 5000lb axles (is there anyway to check the load rating?) but some
of these things are 7000lb and 1lb. I'm thinking $1500 max, if
that. New
Cool trailer! Looks like it means business. There may be a metal tag
somewhere near the tongue with the load rating for the trailer. Worth finding
that bit of info. Short of that, maybe you can ID the maker and then find more
info on the trailer from them.
Check the tires to make sure
Took a look at the situation today, found the reservoir nearly empty, no sign
of leaking inside the car (i.e. from the master cylinder). Slave cylinder
looks dry, but it's buried and not easy to reach, under/behind a lot of intake
and fuel injection plumbing. Refilled the reservoir, will keep

Csn you move the slave cylinder back some? I don't remember how it mounts -
or shorten the push rod between the slave cyl. and the throw-out arm.

That looks huge! I don't know if it'd fit, the 617 already has trouble.
I've got my adapter plate finished(except for triming the outside) already,

I got a chance to look at the trailer. My advice is don't get it.
It has a dovetail or drop on the rear end. They are just slightly
easier to load but a friend who has one can't wait to get rid of
it down here. He has a lot of problems with dragging the rear end
on the ground. He got stuck one
Hmmm, good point. I borrowed a similar one a few weeks ago to haul a
load of timbers, the owner told me over bumps and humps it either

see where that would be a problem, esp after I got stuck in my driveway

If that has 5 lug wheels, (1 1/16 X 1 3/8 spindles) the axles are most likely
3500#. If they are 6 lug they will be the 5000# axles. The smaller axle had a
1.980 bearing cap and the larger axle is somewhere around 2.328.

They sway more. Can be unpleasant with a heavily
loaded trailer.
My 7000# trailer is much rattier than that. No beavertail,
either, which might be a plus. A ratty trailer is handy, you
don't feel bad about banging it through the brush, etc.

As much or as little a PITA as any engine.
Easiest thing to do is rotate the engine so that each cylinder in turn
is at TDC with the cam followers out. You can then unscrew the
tappets and replace the seals. You will, of course, have to adjust
the valves after you are done.

Hi, all.
HF is on the list for tomorrow, mostly for a leak-down tester P/N 94190.
I can't see any reason to buy a $100+ unit when this one is $40.
Any caveats or comments?

Probably Chinese of one political stripe or other.
The net search turned up a lot of leak-down testers, a lot of clones and
other types.
The least expensive US made was $139.95, physically identical to the HF
