Believe it or not, those germanium based transistors DO go bad once in
a while.
Check the ignition leads for signs of arcing.
Also, verify the condition of the vacuum line to the MAP sensor.

(which is usually really bad in the summer). I buy my fuel at the
coop-- local crude distilled down the road with 5% Biodiesel.
Works great.

Actually, the fluid never changes. A valve opens allowing the fluid
to stay between a set of driving plates, dragging the fan. When the
valve is closed, the fluid spins out of the gap, allowing the fan to
spin slowly. Easy to check, it settles by gravity and the fan should
be fairly stif

Iraqi oil is coming out of the southern part of the country so supplies are

The oil is planned to go to refineries along the Texas coast (largest
chem plant in the world is in Freeport) thence to be turned into other
stuff and exported. If I recall correctly little of it is to be turned
into fuels, rather chemicals, and then exported wherever.

The foamy engine brite is good, but the gunk "steam clean" is much better.
(Does anyone else remember buying engine brite in a non-aerosol can and having
to mix it with mineral spirits or kerosene?)
