Fuel system O ring needs to be Viton material.. or you will soon have
another leak.. May want to check that the O rings you have are of that

The only real question is fuel resistance. Otherwise a standard o-
ring should work, it's just a seal for a low pressure system.

My vote is for the distributor cap. There could be moisture in/on it
causing the cross-firing that you are describing.
I used to have to clean off the cap on my MGA (when it was stock) with a
carbon tet fire extinguisher if the humidity was high.

While you are poking around, check the idler arm on the passenger
side. If it has ANY up and down play, you need to replace the
bushings. Bolt comes out the top, so on a gasser you have to knock
the exhaust pipes loose, on the diesels it's clear. Quick job and
tightens up and steering ni

to bypass it completely. Even if you do live in the cold north it is still not

Note that the radiator will clog first where the airflow is greatest
(the deposits come out of solution there first), and if there is a big
cold spot in the radiator in front of the thermostatic spring on the

I have a very small leak that seems to be coming from the end of
the fuel thermostat. If (like me) you never heard of this before, I'll
try to explain where it is. The fuel line comes out of the chassis and
into the small, plastic, in-line fuel pre-filter.A hose comes out of
