The best way I've found is to waste a bunch of their time, it doesn't stop them

Nope! the v-12 is problematic and expensive, like the M100 club

Actually more reading on the reviews shows it requires bolts in the
floor to hold the posts, which sorta defeats the purpose of having
portable lifts, though I suppose if you unbolt them and move them they
would be OK. Would have to put nuts or something in the floor though so
no studs
I have a friend who bought a '75 Rolls via eBay. flew to California and
drove it home. IIRC, he paid $5000 for it. He found out on the drive back
to OK that it needed a water pump. He ended up working with his father to
machine a new part for the water pump in addition to installing new

Long time ago I had an answering machine that could be set to start with the
three tones used to signal the phone service had been disconnected. Very
effective at stopping the unwanted calls. Real humans would listen past the
tone, then either leave a message or try again later.

A friend bought a Rolls a few years ago with some inheritance money. IIRC he
paid around $40k. It had a series of malfunctions costing him in the $20,000
range. He ended up selling it for $3k in disgust just to get away from it...
