One beautiful thing about the camera is that it automagically starts
recording when power is supplied to the unit, and ends the clip when power
is cut. So you really want a power source that is ignition switched.
You could run a new wire alongside the dome light wire, but honestly it

doesn't flex. I solder almost every joint. Never had a break in/at the
