I found a guy who is based Upstate who facilitated getting me a new 
control board for my LG mini-split outdoor unit.  He was a former boss 
of a guy who is listed on LG's website, but who no longer sells their 
stuff because of how poor they are to deal with (he says the units are 
not bad but the company is terrible).  The guy is in the process of 
setting up some kind of distributorship and had to sweet talk some other 
guy he knows to get the deal done.  What a cluster  but it worked.  
None of these guys had to give me the time of day, but they were nice 
guys and worked the problem hard to get me the part.  Not bad.


Arrived yesterday, I got it in today, IT'S ALIVE

$500 and a few days of screwing around with LG and their network got me 
the part.  It really is a racket how these outfits make it hard to get 
parts for stuff, even when going through their distributors.

Is the stuff at the farm store Chinese?
Sam's Club has some Johnsen's brand for $68.64. I assume it's imported, but they 
claim it meets AHRI purity standards.

Coupla years ago I went looking for some subsonic .22s and no one around 
had any.  I think a coupla months ago I saw an advert for one of the 
outdoor stores that had them but since i got the pellet gun it is 
somewhat pointless.  I met yet get some if I think of it when I am out 
and about somewhere close to one of those stores.

Someone here gave me an old wildlife camera a while back to help me 
identify and potentially combat the varmint that is turning my 
backyard into a crater filled landscape.


I just wanted to report that I finally got around to setting it up, 
and have caught images of a number of raccoons and one armadillo, who 
I am sure is the culprit. Since there is really no way to deal with 
armadillos short of deceasing them using firearms, which isn’t an 
option since I’m in an area where discharging a firearm violates 
County ordinances, I’ll just have to deal with it, I guess.


I had given some consideration to putting in an electric fence line 
around the back yard at ground level, but the spouse isn’t keen about 
this. I’m not sure why since she never sets foot in the back yard, but…


Oh well.

After learning what you guys are exposing about rental property, I
ain't sure I will be able to ever rent again.  Full-on check of
everything? - I've never been through that!  The owners I have rented
always have been someone who knows someone that rents to me/us when we

If you ever lived in Hawaii, Fran DeLima's Filipino Christmas is 
hilarious and so right.  I love the filipinos I know and have worked

Ugh its that kind of PC sentiment that I hate.
Stereotypes come from somewhere, otherwise they wouldn't be stereotypes.
I don't understand why its okay to make comments about how white guys 
got no rhythm and can't dance and not okay to point out other 
stereotypes. If we can't laugh at ourselves and each other all we can 
do is cry.

I thought $80k was ridiculous for a plastic bumper C3, but it had something like

I have some folks saying that you should not buy made in China R134 because 
it's dirty and no good and will ruin your car. Just about most of the 134 I see 
is made in China and I have not had any problems with it.
