Checking under the hood on my truck I found a broken vacuum hose (?) to a
device of unknown (to me) function. I'm thinking I might have some diesel
return hose that might serve to join the broken ends together. Perhaps you can
see from the image that the part is against the firewall

Reminds me of my time with the Saab indy, we bought a 1981 Turbo with a busted
piston.
APC (knock sensor controlled boost) came along in 1982.
I found the hose to the boost safety switch disconnected and plugged, so I
hooked it back up.
The boss took it for a drive then complained it cut out on
27 matches
