Folks,
I replaces a B2 piston probably about 2009 with someone and I remember it being
extremely hard to remove from the transmission ... this was with the
transmission in the car
I would do what it takes to remove and replace it since you are in so deeply

I've seen that sticker on original parts, major assemblies and body panels. I
think they are anti-theft.

Tom confirmed the 107 270 04 32 is not the correct B2 piston. Good to
know. Still have to find the snap ring. I guess I should have just
swapped trans and changed the filter and fluid.
From Tom @ CC:
Hi Loren,
That’s not the correct piston for that trans. You need a

These are the square cross section omega shaped internal snap rings, not
ones with holes for the snap ring plier pins. the one for the
modulator vacuum connection is similar, but smaller.
However, what I forgot is that you can put the snap ring inside the
modulator vacuum cover (or the one o

Probably a lot more M112 (too wide?) M110/M103/104 OM616/617/602/603 sitting
around in garages/backyards.
Would a differential from a W123 or W124 bolt up to the swing axle suspension?

I was going to put the piston back in because it was not plastic and not
of the type of aluminum piston that breaks. As I was trying to put the
plastic top back on, the snap ring slipped out of needlenose and went
off to the hinterland. We've been looking with magnets but can't find
it. s
It might fit length wise. It would be best to put an M130 in it... should
bolt right up! But you'd probably want to upgrade the brakes too.

If you look closely at the picture of the old piston, at circumference
of the piston in the trans you can see that there is a shiny ring that
is not concentric. That is a miniature piston ring, just like an
engine piston. There is no nylon seal, just this piston ring. The gap

I have the cover off the B2 piston. the piston is aluminum, and dated

Don't remember about that one but a lot of the
