So now that importec is out of business, I am stuck with either FCP Euro
or Autohauz AZ. FCP seems to not carry items I am looking for. Or only
carries genuine MB parts that cost a lot more than a cheaper alternative
for shift bushings for example. Autohaus carries the cheaper versions of

The OM648 has flat seats where the copper sealing ring goes between the head
and the injector. Much like the “heat shield” of the OM617, only copper, and
the injector is held in place with a forked clamp that goes around recesses on

They do. Usually a fractured wire, but occasionally they just read goofy.
I had to replace the evaporator sensor on the TE, read wild. Didn't fix the AC
because I had a small hole in the condenser that took forever to find, along
with the cracked evaporator.

that is a good price. 18k miles in 30 years suggests fluids not getting
attention if you are only driving 500 miles a year. I have to force myself to
do the annual servicing with only 2500 miles logged each season. I

I would expect the gel to dissolve quicker, but I don't really
know. When I used powder, I mixed it with hot water (about a
gallon) to get it all dissolved before dumping it in.

Daskade, plain washing soda, or something similar. Finish with a citric acid
flush as noted, this will remove scale and rust as well.
