I am not really sure if that happened or not. I think if it was a cracked or broken rib I would be in worse pain but never broken anything so i dont know. I've had 2x 190D 2.2l. I've never heard of a 2.4l W201 which doesn't mean they don't exist but I've never heard of one. I remember Marshall had a grey market 2.0l. The 5spd 1985 that I had would average 38mpg with 43 being the highest I ever got, I had to work at it to get there but I guessed that 45mpg might be possible but you'd want to be somewhere pretty flat and you'd have to go pretty slow. The '84 auto box averaged more like 36, I think I might have gotten it to nudge 40mpg once. I disliked that car, the 2.2l really wants a manual transmission. The market for these has crashed terribly, I paid just under $3k for my first one in 2005 and it was the cheapest one I could find. The second came with a "broken timing chain" for $250. It really had a broken timing chain cover and turned out to be a reasonable investment but not a fun car to drive. -Curt On Tuesday, October 6, 2020, 5:39:22 PM EDT, Max Dillon via Mercedes wrote: I had one of those in silver with a blue interior. 40 mpg all day; if you could keep the speed down to 55 or so you could get 45 mpg or maybe a little better. That looks like some kind of lorem ipsum keyword generator, intended to match every conceivable search filter so that this ad. turns up on any vehicle search, yet not get flagged and discarded as merely having a crass list of inappropriate keywords tacked at the end. I've seen it before. Or the guy is batshit crazy. -- Jim ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
Re: [MBZ] Nice car, interesting car jibberish
The sovereign citizen stuff gets caught in our data loss prevention system, so I’ll see it when it hits the fence. It’s amazing to read and doesn’t seem to be totally crazy until you read and parse the whole thing. My Mom got caught up in this garbage years ago and was convinced that she wouldn’t have to pay taxes if she claimed to be a sovereign citizen. It was silly to think, as she was retired and probably paid little to nothing in taxes to begin with. Fortunately, my brother, a commercial banker who also took care of her financials, convinced her it would be a very bad idea for her to pursue this. She backed off. -D > On Oct 6, 2020, at 9:59 AM, Floyd Thursby via Mercedes > wrote: > > I was at a trade show of some sort once, this well-dressed, well-spoken guy > comes up to me and engages in a conversation, seemed pretty smart and > interested in whatever I was flogging at the time. I was at a trade show of some sort once, this well-dressed, well-spoken guy comes up to me and engages in a conversation, seemed pretty smart and interested in whatever I was flogging at the time. After a few minutes he says he needs to go look at other stuff but could I take a look at this stack of papers he pulls from his satchel then get back to him on how to proceed. I say sure, he hands me the papers and walks off. I had a slow time so I started reading this stuff. It was several pages of well-written nonsense, single-spaced, no paragraph breaks, something about atomic energy if I recall. Stuff like this. Guy stops by a bit later and wants to engage on my thoughts on his report, was very persistent. I guess I was the only person to talk with him. He got annoying so finally I had to tell him I couldn't talk anymore, he got pretty agitated but finally left. It was weird, I guess he was total schizo. Stuff with lithium batteries shouldn't go to waste.
