The cleaner is some kind of ether, it evaporates quickly. I took the ECU box apart this evening and found some corrosion on a board from a leak I guess. There was a bunch of crap in there too, looked like more of the bug stuff I found everywhere. A resistor or two looked kinda corroded and there was white stuff around some ICs. I sent a pic but it was too big to go through, maybe the list mamas will pass it along. I sprayed the boards (there are 2 in there, connected by a ribbon cable with about 347 connections) with electrical cleaner and scrubbed on them with an old toothbrush, scraped stuff off with a bamboo skewer, and used swabs. I'm not sure I did much good but it does look better and I got some schmutz off. Tomorrow I will try again to get the car started. Those probably have a 722.9 trans so a new module is going to cost $800+ and it has to be programmed to match the car. Your Star computer might be able to do it otherwise the stealer. I don’t know about the fuel pump, can’t be that big of a deal.
