Gotcha. [MBZ] More thinkings on the $900E500 limp mode issue -- SBC???
So some further research shows that a fault in the SBC system *might* throw the car into limp mode. It has a pressure reservoir fault. And spirited acceleration along with an SBC fault might also do limp mode. That happened when I was driving the car and the trans was shifting fine and I jumped on it and BANG! limp mode. The Brake Nanny protecting me! I tried calling the stealer this afternoon and got no answer after waiting about 15min on hold. So I called MBUSA and after about 10min got hold of Theresa who was very nice and looked up the car, determining it has not had any dealer interaction since 07 (imagine that), and nothing on the SBC. SBC is also warranteed until Jan 2029 so I have 8 more years on that! She did not know what parts of the SBC were covered, there did not seem to be any distinction on that. She suggested I get hold of the stealer service dept to find out what they say. So I'll do that tomorrow. If they can deal with it under the warranty I will drag the car over there on the trailer and dump it on them. If they give me a runaround I'll just get the part ($72 @ FCPEuro) and replace it and see if that clears the SBC fault and the limp mode. I'm kinda thinking this might be the issue since the trans wasn't working, then it was, then it wasn't then it was... and that needs to be replaced anyway. -- --FT ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

Most of the really small ones can be moved with a 1 ton. The other annoying issue with a TLB (tractor, loader, backhoe) is the length.
