in dealer showrooms at section events.  G wagons in dayglo blue or green to 
match the local sports team livery.  Close enough shading that if you supported 
NFL, MLB, soccer and other local team you could proclaim affinity.  I do not 
know of a pink team…. except it could be save the boobs promo.  Probably enough 
local boob cancer entities nationally to produce 40 or 50 for use in fund 
raising events in large markets.

Maybe. Those buggers can set up housekeeping in a matter of days
sometimes.

Wondering about the camshafts in the trunk but valve covers in place?
Is that an extra set of cams? Or why were they removed?

It does look like it needs a lot of work but not beyond saving.

You can push the button to raise the air bags a coupla inches for more 
ground clearance.  The 04E500 has this feature too I think or maybe it 
just stiffens them for a "sportier" ride, I think that is it, I tried it 
once and it seemed stiffer, there are 2 settings.  Some of the R129 
SL600s had this feature too too raise the car a bit, I think after 95 
because mine doesn't have it.

I never noticed much difference in my 1999. (320 4matic wagon)
I think it's supposed to short shift and limit available power at part 
throttle.
When I'd do my slide recovery practice in a snowy parking lot, I could 
put it sideways with a jab of throttle in either transmission mode.


I think what happened in my case was my conservative driving style 
taught the TCM (via adaptive learning) to behave in S like MBZ 
programmed it to behave in W.
