I had some experience with Soviet military vehicles (like tanks) in a
previous life.  Creature comforts were  nil.  Engine systems (Diesel) were
interesting.  They had an oil heater (fuel fired, I think) and pump to
circulate heated oil through the engine before attempting to start.  The
batteries were massive but the primary start system was compressed air,
which recharged after the engine got going.  The design philosophy seemed to
be "throw-away",  maintainability was poor. Presumably these vehicles would
be replaced rather than repaired, just like entire combat units.

As recommended by Dan, I used to buy gift cards from my niece's account.
Now I buy a $500 card when my membership is expiring, then I'm eligible

to get oil to the head. It'd be interesting to see an oil pressure gauge on

I'm looking to (finally) change the oil in the ASV which is know for hard 
starts when cold, its getting Delvac 1 5w40 synthetic. One of the other guys in 
the club is giving me hell for "expensive oil" but we don't change it very 
often and I figure we need all the help we can get.I'm going to put it in the 
Tucker I'll be running this year too, thats got a Cummins 6BT that starts 
better in the cold but again, I want all the advantages I can get.

How much does a Jetta hold?
A few of the 2014-2015 Cruze guys did that, but it involved neck filling 
a 16 gallon tank to 18+ gallons.
The 2017-2018 diesel is more efficient than the 2014-2015, but the tank 
is smaller.

I've done 635 on 12.6 gallons in my gas Cruze.

The ABS pump itself, yes. You can pull the motor from it, but you have to do it 
from the wheel well like the motor mounts.

This doesn't look bad.  Parts can't be that bad although changing ABS is 
a PITA?  Tires are worth about half the ask, maybe I should go get it 
and put the tires on my ML then sell it again for $1k.  I wonder why the 
door panel is off the door


2001 ML 500 Mercedes-Benz SUV. All wheel drive. AC blows cold. New 17” 
wide tires. Clean title. Needs new battery and ABS module to be road
