It was a miracle seller actually responded to questions immediately. It’s 9 hours away and he says he has 2 people coming to look at it tomorrow so I’m sure I’m SOL. Here lately it’s nearly impossible to be able to buy a reasonable priced project car anymore. Seems like everyone and their dog are suddenly in love with MB and scrambling to buy them up. The bright side of it is I bought many cars for under $1k that were worth maybe $3k at the time. Let them sit around until the market on them as runners was less than I paid, so lost money. But now these same cars are worth $5-$10k or more. Guess I need to start cranking some of them out. I found a broken bracket in my piles of treasures and since my new welder arrived Friday and I have nascent skills it got me thinking… I’m wondering if it is galvanized or something as there is no rust on it, or if it’s some metal that is not stick or mig weldable.
