For use around the house I'll never go back to a gas string trimmer. I've got
an 18v Makita that's great. At camp we have a B that is also pretty good.
For heavy brush I have an old Husky straight shaft pro model but it rarely gets
broken out these days.

Anybody buying small equipment at a big box store is doomed for failure.
A chainsaw especially needs to come from a chainsaw shop.

One of the guys in the snowmobile club fought a Poulan Pro for years. It'd run
sometimes but it had no balls. They're garbage commodity saws.
I've got a Husky 445 which is the top of their homeowner saws. I've been
thinking about upgrading to a 450 which is the bottom of the pro line but as
We've got a Harbor Freight cordless saw at camp. It works great for a trimming
saw and for taking small firewood.

In the picture I've cut all the wood in the tractor bucket on that one small
battery. We should get a larger battery or a larger saw.
I have several Harbor Freight electric tools on the great northern estate.
They've all been good, one is the cheapest 4" angle grinder they sell. I think
I paid $19 for it and it's definitely worked for it's money. The switch is
starting to fail but considering it's lived most of it's working
I've been very happy with the Makita stuff. It's expensive but a couple years
ago the snowmobile club had to redeck a bridge. My Makita 18v 1/4" drive impact
gun was the only one that could drive 6" lag bolts all the way down.
Everybody's 3/8" could do it but mine was the only 1/4"...

I've got the Makita version. I haven't used it a lot but it's super handy for
making plunge cuts to install electrical boxes in existing work...
I need to get it out and cut off the shims on our front door so I can finally
get the trim installed. It hasn't been quite 3 years yet, I don't want
We were supposed to get 4-8" last night but so far have gotten only a dusting.
The weather guessers really blew this one spectacularly, they were calling for
snowmageddon and got a dud...
Our winter has really sucked, it's been warm, almost hot at times. The ticks

Looks like SC taps you for a $10 fee to enter an alligator hunting permit
lottery. If selected a resident then pays $100 for the license. Looks like a
non-resident has to pay $300...
Could be interesting. I wonder what I've got that would work out to shoot an
alligator.

On Friday,
Agreed, I want to buy a thing and own the thing. I hate having to pay again and
again for a thing...
