They're pretty uncommon here... The thing I don't like is that they use a bunch
of rubber bits that have to be renewed occasionally. Coleman used metal on
metal usually with flare fittings or tapered threads that don't often fail.
Coleman also used a simpler pump that almost never fails.

Dad is retiring this June and claims he's going to move to camp for a month so
I'm kind of looking for a 1 ton rusty pickup for him to fart around in. He's
got a Jeep Liberty thats been a surprisingly good truck but it won't pull start
the Super M and it can't haul all that much.

No doubt you CAN fix up a '60s truck but I bet the money isn't right. You'd
still ought to have a newer engine. The 5.7l v8 in my Dodge makes 20mpg at
65mph with 265hp which made it walk away with a 240D on a Uhaul car carrier. I
got 15mpg with that 240D from here to Dimitri's.The suspension on
on modeling predictions. Wouldn't it be embasrrassing if the
storm weakens, zooms out to sea, or doesn't form to begin with.

I have in mind adding another bay onto my garage and expanding the little
add-on on the back of the garage to full size which would allow me to move the
snowmobiles under cover, have the lawnmower and plow over there and
I suspect since its a straight shot down it probably doesn't matter...

Yeahbut, the engine temp isn't normal. Of course we don't really have a great
indicator of what normal is other than the temp gauge is showing low.TDIs are
notoriously slow to warm up but my Jetta will be up to operating temp at 0F by
the time I leave town, thats about 10 minutes on secondary
IIRC these want to be lubed with very light oil, like sewing machine oil for
instance ;)

Unless it was super cold you should have reasonable heat in 15 minutes. I think
this condemns the thermostat.To be sure take it for a longer/harder run this
afternoon, if you can stand the cold :) if it still doesn't come up to temp I'd
say thermostat.

This is similar to what I was thinking of doing at camp. How far is it from the
nearest house? A Raspberry Pi with a camera shield in an enclosure strapped to
a pole with lights sounds like a good idea to me. Power it with a fire alarm
battery you replace/recharge weekly. Have it send via WiFi
Recently Open Office drove me crazy, I'd been using a spreadsheet and a text
document to print class certificates, I'd put the names into the spreadsheet
and mail merge in the text document. Worked well for 3 or 4 years. Then
suddenly it lost the connection from the spreadsheet to the text doc
