I posted some pics and got the holding message too. They usually come

I've been told that the average cruise consumption for a Merlin is about 50

Probably similar to all those Porsches that get 30 mpg. lol. I'm sure it
can be done, I just personally haven't met anyone who has managed it yet.
Some would say, if you're getting close to those figures, you're probably

Very pretty! Really nice work Roger! We used to see the odd one around
here in the Summer, but their values have taken most of them off the road,
so they only show up at shows, cruises, and club events now. Always a treat
to see one that has been restored properly.

If you have the gear to cut open the cat, and weld it back together again,
provided the tin is in good enough shape, I believe you can buy the internal
cat material by the yard. I don't know the price, and I'm sure it's not
cheap, but probably cheaper than buying a new factory cat. I knew a guy
platinum in them. In Houston
there was a thriving theft industry for the things. Come out in the
morning, start your car, sounds like an old stock car. Look under, cat cut
off. They would hit a whole neighborhood.

The only Asian car that ever interested me was an old Datson 240Z. I
remember an old school teacher (real car enthusiast) having a few. He would
arrive at school early before the teachers parking lot was cleared on winter

I know you guys report of fuel prices from time to time, and as I was
thinking of the list while pumping gas into one of the cars today, I took
note of the various prices here for fun.
regular $1.24 per litre
premium $1.39 per litre
diesel $1.31 per litre
These are now pretty typical prices.
So you're still roughly about a dollar less or so per gallon than here. If
I lived in the US, I'd forget about diesel, and just buy a V12. ;-) hee hee
