That probably would as long as you rough up the shinny chrome surfaces so the stuff sticks better. You would also have to make sure that there is no plastic or rubber on the item as they have to put it into the oven to melt the powder. Course it also costs a lot more then a can of spray paint.

Well easier to remove. You can also get the powder coat off. Its just a slightly tougher coat of paint after all. You would still need to repolish and rechrome the trim in either case, especially if you roughed it up and destroyed the polish to make either the paint or powder coat stick

Front wheel bearings are easy a couple of hours for both sides at most. Make sure you get new outer races if the bearings don't come with them (some do some don't) and the inner seals. Do the pads (Akebonos?) and maybe new brake hoses while you are there, if they are 1/4 or less. If the rotors

I think that the injector might need rebuilding. Compression from the cylinder coming back into the injector because of a problem with the nozzle not shutting or spring pressure too low. Try taking one from one of the other engines you have and use it. Shouldn't take very long to do that.
