Well, a diesel engine at idle does not make very much heat, so I think it is
reasonable that only the top of the radiator and the top hose were warm.

Given that it is supposed to work with the remote, which implies a computer
controls the circuit that activates the motor or solenoid, the problem may not
be simple. Do you have a wiring diagram?

Dan has it, we bought the higher cost executive membership, I think $110, which
also gives points for all your purchase. If you exceed 110 points in a year,
next membership is paid for. We also use their cash-back Visa card, the cash

We'll be looking forward to your full report!
One of those threads recommended soda blasting to clean, it absorbs the oil and
grease and falls off, but gentle on the transmission.

There is a thread on peach parts that documents a 722.? rebuild, either a .3 or
a .4. Rebuild kit was only $150 or so, and the ATSG rebuild manual was
sufficient. I think the fellow fabricated any special tools he needed from
wood, his first time into an auto trans, and all it took was loads
That is criminally dumb!

Ahh, 'tis a simple piece of metal, rust resistant and bent to shape. Fabricate?
May be put a "wanted to buy" post on the forums (Peach Parts and Benz World)
with that picture, see if anyone is parting a car. David Hendy has a regular
dismantling operation it seems, maybe contact him directly.
Kaleb has bid it up to $5100. I think he'll go as high as $10k.

Died in my '95 E300 (124.131). One day after starting the car, the glow light
came on while I was driving, and stayed on until I disconnected both plugs from
the relay. Since then, the relay only works about 2 of every 3 tries.
All the glow plugs test fine (measuring current).
Replaced the

I'll bet that the plastic piece is broken, that connects the glass to the car
that rides up and down the track. The motor pulls a wire around to move the
car.
You can purchase the plastic piece, drill out the rivet holding the old,
install the new with a small bolt and nut. I think the piece
