I've been running 100% WVO in my 87SDL since April with no mods whatsoever
to the car.
There is a bit of hesitation when you accelerate until it gets warmed up.
More so on cold mornings.

$200 makes it a no-brainer in my book. If I need portability, I bring a
generator. Even the cheap ones supply 240V. That tilts the balance towards

The 99 E-Class is a significantly safer car. It has side and head
curtain airbags. Stability Control was optional and is very desirable.
Check for rust on the upper front spring mounts. They gooped it up so
it is hard to detect. That's a $1500 fix and is a common failure
point.

high pressure coolant circuit that uses 3/8 Nylon 11 tubing for both
the fuel and coolant lines. Much easier to route than the huge 4-hose

You can get Neodymium Magnets cheap on eBay. They are amazingly
strong. I use 2x1/4x1/8 ones in the oil and transmission pan on all
my cars. Anything more than 1/4 thick is dangerous to play with.

FYI - I've run over 40,000 miles on vegoil in my S350. It works fine.

Costs are not insignificant. Pumps, motors, filters, storage
containers, hydraulic couplings, tubing, all add up. Not to mention
what you have to do to your car.
