Has anyone here driven both a 190D 2.2 auto and a 1985 300TD? I currently drive the 1985 300TD and am considering a car I have never driven. Is the 190D 2.2 even slower than the wagon? There a 190D in Greensboro NC with 200,000 miles for around $2500. What are these cars worth? Chris

My mother (70's) drives an '84 900. She loves it and wouldn't think of letting us get her something newer, or an automatic. Hers is not as slow as a 240D. The 'S' model was a 16-valve and a little quicker. For $200 I don't think you can go wrong, unless, like you say, it is dangerous
