Keep in mind, Harry, that the pumps on the page Mitch linked will most
likely NOT work with a well driven with a point. For these, you put the
working cylinder of the pump underneath the water level and actuate it
with a steel rod that runs up to the surface
and the first 17 feet have been through

86 300 SDL, just got off I-20 after 80 mile trip. I needed to change
lanes and at about 30 MPH I mashed down to engage the kick down switch.
I immediately lost the A/C and blower, the heater seemed to be wide open.
The kick down worked and nothing else changed. Stopping
the
engine did not reset it, I had heard that is required some times.
Any ideas?

What problem are you trying to fix? I don't think that ~65mA is
terrible, and if you plan to leave the car parked for long periods I'd
recommend either disconnecting the battery or installing a float
charger.

My $2.99 HF VOM fluctuates between 64 and 65 ma.
I used the Cathey procedure to connect in series from the neg. post to the neg.
cable.

No, fuse #16 was eliminated after end number 269896, my end number is
267785, so I have the melted fuse box at fuse # 16 location with a brand
new, unused, PO installed blower motor and a fuse kit in my hand.

Those are the delivery valves, and no , you should NEVER lap anything
related to the IP. The seal is with a rubber o-ring at the fuel
chamber and the copper seal on the plunger/sleeve set, and neither is
going to wear anywhere

The external fuel leak is the o-ring seal, doesn't affect anything but
fuel milage, and then only if it's quite large.
However, to replace the o-rings you must remove the valve holder
clean, the oil will
just smoke. That's the way we do it where I work(CATERPILLAR), and we build 12
cylinder quad turbo enginesexcept we have a hot plate and an oil
spectrology machine to see what and how much of certain elements are in the
oil...but that is foolproof.

the outside and forgot about it. I never heard the rest of the story, but
there may not have been one.

The o-rings are what seals the inside from the outside, prevents fuel
getting out and air getting in. DV repairs are normally brought on because
of that, but it makes sense to replace the copper seals and springs while in
the area.

Rough idle can be caused by internal leak at copper washer OR by worn
elements inside the delivery valve. I suspect that you really

11/16 crowfoot (IIRC) and with two of them there is enough thickness for the
wrench to get a solid grip.
You could use the crowfoot straight out from the TW if you can find the
formula to adjust for the additional length.
