If it is an restoration it must be an older one because there is paint
missing in the boot and that code plate looks very tired, also the
woodwork on the dash does not seem to line up, which may indicate the
use of cheap components.

Nice job on this car, if it's a restoration.

It is a factory two-tone - 717 white and 040 black. The hardtop is black,
too (if it still has one).

Nice-looking car. The left rear bumper fit is off and the trunk fit might
bo off, too, Can't tell if it still has the notch-thingies at the
headlights. The seller is two miles from my house if you're serious and
want a closer look.

That's a pretty subjective opinion. I've seen a few
of the pre-107's, and decided that the 107 was more
to my taste than any of the other SL's. But I expect
that others would have differing opinions.

are a little too glitzy and it looks too much like armorall to be a
real nice car. If it was really that nice, it would not need glitz
and armorall. Make sure to look carefully UNDERNEATH. It obviously
has been repainted. Might have masking tape and mud over rust holes

Donald,

Forgot to add, the Pagodas are beautiful cars and fun to drive. If
you buy it, I'll give ya $500 for it next year when you are tired of
it! If you want to see a true low mile Pagoda, I have a friend in
the Davenport, IA area who I could probably persuade to show you
his. NO, you can't buy it for any price. It is a 250SL, and that
means 66 or 67. If my memory is right, his is a 67. It will make
you drool. He bought it new.
