Yup. Same thing. Mercedes doesn’t sell the sensor any more, you have to buy the whole steering shaft ($400) which I’m not about to do. I’ve cleared it in SDS, done the lock to lock thing, no joy. I had a buddy who trolls junkyards get me three of the sensors and I’ve swapped two of them in, and

Not for sale, buddy. Not at this time, at least. And other than the random three light alert it goes through every few weeks it runs fine. I would drive it anywhere. I’ve tossed several steering position sensors on it and it still throws the BAS light constantly, even after clearing the fault.
