Reminds me of my time with the Saab indy, we bought a 1981 Turbo with a busted piston. APC (knock sensor controlled boost) came along in 1982. I found the hose to the boost safety switch disconnected and plugged, so I hooked it back up. The boss took it for a drive then complained it cut out

Sounds like a good deal if you can swap that other engine in it, pull all the good bits off the one that had the fire and knacker it.  Pull the top-end good parts off the locked engine too so you have spares. Some work but seems like you might have a nice car out of it. --FT On 9/15/19 6:13
